I just reviewed your story and I do understand how you feel. I got laid off from Xerox Corp at the worst time in Michigan unemployment history. After not finding work, I came online looking for work at home opportunities. I found a few, but recently joined Ez2x2. Join this program and I’ll help you get members so you can make enough to bill some bills and purchase food, until you get your unemployment benefits (I’m prayin with you that they your unemployment will be released). If you don’t have the funds to join, just email me and I’ll send you the funds. Your not alone, because the Lord is with you and I’m prayin for you. Email me as soon as you can and we’ll get started getting some funds into your home. Be Blessed! Your new friend, Geraldine

I feel for you. I myself lost my job to outsourcing. I hope that all of these greedy companies start getting their own bad karma soon! Microsoft sucks!

I feel for you, but I think your hatred is misdirected. You were employed by one of Microsoft’s vendors, not by Microsoft directly. Your employer should be the one answering to you.

MicroSucks does it again! I’m looking forward to see who will buy the products from companies like MicroSucks when people don’t have any money left because they don’t have any jobs!

I too was cut by MIcrosoft after 10 years of service. I was a blue badge with patents, awards, citations, commendations and hundreds of emails from customers and internals that I helped over the years. Yes Microsoft has lost its way. I found out I was cut and replaced with a H1B Visa foreign worker. In the first round of cuts only US Citizens were impacted. None were cut outside of the US and no H1B’s were cut either. This was confirmed because the company has to report to the state department when H1B’s are no longer employed and they had none to report. It is sad that a US company like Microshaft is taking a direct frontal attack on US workers.

The one person is correct, it wasn’t Microsoft that laid you off…however, like the other giants of the world (Wal-Mart, etc) they dictate to everyone how things will be, how the game is played, and if the rules they set don’t work for them on a given day, they get changed.

Who here missed the part about Microsoft issuing the directive about the worldwide workforce? Her employer was forced into changing their workforce because Microsoft is no doubt their biggest employer.

You know what, one even wonders if they want to hire people with intelligence or integrity – once at an interview with that company, I was asked what I thought of Windows Vista – you know what, I hadn’t used it – I had heared lots of horror stories about it but never really experienced any issues first hand, so that’s exactly what I put forward, that I hadn’t used it and didn’t know enough of it’s performance. One of the two individuals interviewing me became rather dognmatic and agressive about my reply and more or less belittled me for not upgrading, I said I had no need to. At the end of that dialog, after letting them say their piece, I asked them in turn what they thought of the product, very quickly the other person interviewing me cut in and finalised the interview. I don’t think they are smart people working there, and I don’t think they want smart people working there. Maybe one is better off out of it.
