I just had a feeling in my gut that day
The day before I got laid off, I somehow had a really bad feeling and I cleaned out my work computer. I deleted everything that was personal, and lo and behold, the next morning, I was told to meet my manager in a conference room. As I walked down, I knew I was getting laid off. How did I know I was getting laid off? I have no idea, but I’m pretty glad that I deleted all my personal stuff off my laptop

Same thing has happened to me. I’ve been laid off twice in the last 10 years. I usual get ‘the feeling’ about a week before. I clean out my computer, clean out my desk, make sure I get contact information for those I want to keep in touch with, then I just wait for the axe to fall. It’s eerie and I’m not sure how I know, either.
